Dupont Circle

On Saturday, Brad and I drove into Dupont Circle to do some shopping and catch some dinner. Dupont Circle is a very popular and lively section of town. We walked over to east side of the circle where they have a bunch of chess tables set up where businessmen, homeless guys and tourist sit and play chess together. It was pretty cool to watch, the game with the black guy in the beard and the man in the green t-shirt was some sort of speed chess ~ I don't think that I've ever seen a chess game go that quickly. The other guys were just taking their time. The Washington Post did an article not long ago about one of the homeless men who play here who is supposedly one of the best speed chess players on the east coast. We sat on a bench with three homeless guys and Brad asked if they could take our picture ~ they were really funny, they kept asking if Brad was a billionaire because I wanted to get my picture taken with him. They were almost as amusing as the chess players. It was a lot of fun!!
