Brad and I drove down and met Laura and Nathan and family in Charlottesville. We had a lot of fun walking around UVA before we grabbed a bite to eat (and Gavin made a bread mask for himself) and then went out to Monticello and took a tour. We decided to walk up to the house instead of take the shuttle. It was a beautiful walk but it did get a little warm but by the time we got out of the tour of the house it had cooled down quite nicely. We got to walk around the gardens and the kids got to attack Brad and crawl all over him while the rest of us relaxed a bit under a tree. When we left Monticello we found a little Mexican restaurant and had some dinner. Then Brad and I had to take off to continue our Memorial Day trip by driving for another five hours to OBX.
It's always so much fun to play with Nathan and Laura and Cady, Gavin and Audrey are so much fun to be with too. It was a great day!!
