It's true, I was talked into attending a BYU function. Matt was just so excited about it and it did feature my favorite apostle so how could I say no. There were easily about 300 people in the room this picture was taken in but Matt has been so excited - and determined to meet President Eyring that as soon as he entered the room Matt nearly knocked a few people over to get to him. Matt does have a great conversion story and that was almost the first words out of Matt's mouth to President Eyering "I'm a new convert!" so President Eyring actually stopped and chatted with us for a little while and took some pictures too. I told Matt later that I was surprised when I told P. Eyring my name that he didn't remember me from 16 years ago at the MTC when he thanked me for giving the opening prayer at a devotional - such a short memory:).The dinner was great and President Eyring's talk was wonderful, of course they always are. He talked about leadership and how the best leaders have the trust of their followers and that the trust comes from that leaders integrity. He was also really funny - I love that!!
